drinking the green kool-aid

Green kool-aid is how I like to describe the cult-like experience of raw food, or really any crazy diet. People always seem half-fascinated and half-horrified by my commitment to cleaning my colon, so I thought I'd share my experiences in excruciating detail. As with any train wreck, it's hard to look away. Nonetheless, I've managed to pick up some comrades along the way, as a result of my dear friends' curiosity and solidarity. Others interested in drinking the green kool-aid, holla.

day 15.

-- green shake
-- dried fruit, 12 almonds
-- 3 raw spring rolls (delicious!)
-- mrs. may bar
-- another green shake
-- a banana with almond butter
-- olives
-- a glass of wine (!) Actually, the wine really wrecked me. I didn't have all that much, but it had me falling asleep in my chair. I wasn't drunk but I was completely non-functional. Weird.
-- a little piece of bread (I really needed it.)

Can you see my will breaking?

today for dinner i'm having a salad consisting of:

green leave lettuce. 5 leaves. one tomato. a handful of pecans, chopped. a handful of dried cranberries. balsamic vinaigrette.

in addition, i am eating an avocado with lime juice and chili powder.

so what's going on with you? are you fasting? are you pooping? has severe malnutrition caused you to shoot down any mayors?
