drinking the green kool-aid

Green kool-aid is how I like to describe the cult-like experience of raw food, or really any crazy diet. People always seem half-fascinated and half-horrified by my commitment to cleaning my colon, so I thought I'd share my experiences in excruciating detail. As with any train wreck, it's hard to look away. Nonetheless, I've managed to pick up some comrades along the way, as a result of my dear friends' curiosity and solidarity. Others interested in drinking the green kool-aid, holla.

Day 18, 19, 20.

I might really be back on the wagon:

Friday:
--smoothie (berries, yogurt, milk)
--chicken, kabocha squash puree (about a cup, maybe a little more)
--chicken, spoonful of peanut butter, yogurt

Saturday:
--2 eggs with brie
--spoonful of peanut butter
--smoothie with mango and yogurt
--salad with lettuce, tomato, chicken; some kale with tomato sauce
--tofu pudding (it's back! but this time I sweetened it with apple sauce and just a tiny amount of agave. it's not very sweet.)

Sunday:
--scrambled eggs; cauliflower puree
--orange
--brie
--soup (tomatoes, chickpeas, veg, etc); salad (carrots, broccoli, almonds); quite a few deviled eggs (made with yogurt, a little mayo, mustard), some apple crisp (it had a little maple syrup and I picked off the crumble topping that contained flour and sugar.)
--tofu pudding

I found the apple crisp super sweet, even though it probably wasn't. Is this what happens when you stop eating sugar? The tofu stuff is pretty bitter, but I still like it!
